The MK Party has issued a demand for the resignation of Janet Love, a key commissioner at the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC).
The party accuses Love of exhibiting bias and engaging in actions that jeopardize the fairness and integrity of the electoral process.
According to the MK Party, Love’s questionable conduct includes prematurely declaring President Zuma ineligible to run in elections without adhering to established procedures.
They also highlight her controversial role in overseeing the audit of voter registration in the Democratic Republic of Congo, suggesting these actions reflect a pattern of prejudicial behavior.
The party has given Love a seven-day ultimatum to step down, failing which they intend to initiate legal proceedings. This move underscores growing tensions and concerns over electoral integrity within the region.
