Two people were injured, one critically, when a vehicle crashed into a KFC fast food restaurant on Raj Mahal Road around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Emergency services received multiple distress calls reporting that individuals were pinned under a bakkie that had collided with the restaurant.
Advanced Life Support Paramedics and ambulances were swiftly dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, paramedics encountered a chaotic scene with a single vehicle having crashed into the building.
A woman, believed to be in her thirties, was found trapped under the vehicle with severe injuries.
She was stabilized at the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics and subsequently transported to Ahmed Al Khadi Private Hospital for urgent medical attention.

The second victim, a male with moderate injuries, was also transported to a nearby hospital.
The circumstances leading up to the crash are currently unknown. The South African Police Service (SAPS) is investigating the incident further.
